How We Give Back | Kelly Education
Giving back
At the end of every successful day, Kelly Education® brings your students one step closer to reaching their potential
You work hard to ensure your students receive the best education possible, which is why we work hard at giving back as your partner, as an employer, and most of all—as members of your community.
We stay connected. Through in-person school visits, scheduled account partnership reviews, absence and substitute management trend data analysis and consultation, and even donating time in the classroom, we stay connected with you and the students we are all dedicated to.
Kelly corporate and branch support
Kelly corporate headquarters and our branch staff stay actively involved in local community and charity events, across the U.S. and around the world. We believe as a fundamental character that at our core, we are a community, and we strive to make a difference in the same communities where we all live and work.
Every branch is free to identify the local organizations they will support, and how to sponsor their preferred charities—most volunteer their time or donate money from related fundraising activities. Some of the organizations supported by Kelly corporate initiatives include:
- March of Dimes – Working together for stronger, healthier babies.
- HAVEN – Live without fear.
- Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – Fight breast cancer.
- United Way – Live United.
Kelly has also been partnering with the National Academy Foundation (NAF) since 2008—helping high school students in urban and low-income areas around the country to pursue higher education. By working with the NAF Academies of Engineering, IT and Finance, Kelly has impacted more than 2,000 students through engineering grants, and helped six students go on to pursue college degrees with the assistance of IT scholarships. In 2011, we expanded our partnership by placing exceptional students in summer internship positions with Kelly client companies.
Giving back to your school
And we give back in other ways too. Research shows teachers spend an average of $1,200 of their own money every school year—totaling $4 billion annually—purchasing materials for their classrooms. Many of our local branch teams partner with schools to help with school supplies donations and/or other necessities needed for the classroom.
We also believe strongly in Employee Recognition. Kelly Education recognizes the important role our substitute teachers play in promoting student achievement, which is why we take time to honor and recognize their hard work and the difference they make on a daily basis.
