Business Executive - Educational Staffing Solutions
Kelly Services, Inc, a $5.5 billion world leader in workforce management services and human resources solutions, seeks a strategic executive to provide leadership for our educational staffing division, Kelly Educational Staffing (KES). KES, the largest provider of substitute teachers nationwide, is a service line which provides comprehensive staffing solutions to K-12 public and private school systems throughout the country and is best known for providing staff to nearly one million classrooms annually. Ideally, the executive will be based out of the corporate headquarters, Troy, MI.
We seek a dynamic executive with considerable operations management experience within the education market who can grow the business through the creation and implementation of an aggressive business plan and follow through with implementation of the plan. Reporting to the General Manager – Americas Products, the executive will be responsible for operating results, meeting and exceeding revenue targets, P&L, establishing customer relationships and enhancing retention efforts, and supporting overall business development operations.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Establishing professional relationships with public/private educational leaders/officials and national education association executives.
- Establishing product pricing strategy and evaluating current pricing practices.
- Leading a management team consisting of sales, operations and service.
- Assessing market growth plans throughout the Americas region based on analysis, secondary research and personal experience with the marketplace.
- Interfacing with current and prospective customers to provide meaningful perspective on the benefits of working with KES.
- Working with the Kelly’s branch network to execute strategy through a matrixed relationship.
- Achieving financial targets and ultimately increasing market share for KES.
Bachelor’s degree with 10-15 years experience, with progressive leadership in education or organizations that serve the education market required. MBA preferred. Candidates possessing educational sales with a previous background as an educator or administrator will be given high consideration. Previous responsibility for multi-million dollar P&L / budget a must. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence without direct management authority required.
