Substitute of the Month April 2010

Please join Kelly Educational Staffing in congratulating our Substitute of the Month for April 2010 - Jeffrey Karr

Jeffrey was nominated for this award by four different teachers at Kickapoo High School, one of whom had this to say about Mr. Karr: "Jeffrey has several strengths. First, he is knowledgeable in both the Spanish and French languages, as well as in teaching methodology. Second, he has been able to balance being liked and respected by students, but also being in full control of the classroom. Third, he always follows the lesson plans. I never have to worry about whether or not things will get done in my class when Jeffrey is my substitute. If students end up with extra time, he has always been able to come up with a productive activity for my students to do on the spot. Fourth, he has always left detailed summaries of how things went while I was gone, usually sending me an e-mail with details. Fifth, Jeffrey goes above and beyond what I have asked him to do. Sometimes, I come back to class with papers graded and/or in alphabetical order, and my classroom more organized than when I left. Jeffrey is a wonderful substitute."
