Will this arrangement affect my chances of becoming a full-time employee for SPS?
Not at all. If you are interested in full-time work, you can apply directly with the SPS Human Resources department.

Will I be considered for assignments outside of substitute teaching?
If you are interested in taking non-teaching assignments during the summer, holidays, or at any other time, please let Kelly know. They offer a variety of assignments including, but not limited to, marketing, call center, customer service, office and other professional opportunities.

How will I be notified of and accept substitute employee assignments?
Kelly uses an automated scheduling system. The Kelly Automated Scheduling System (KASS) is an easy-to-use system that can be accessed via the Internet or the telephone. Substitute employees use KASS to accept jobs, manage their schedule, and record time worked for payroll purposes.

What is the Kelly Automated Scheduling System (KASS)?
KASS is an automated scheduling system utilized by Kelly that is accessible either via the Web or the telephone via an IVR system. KASS allows:

  • Employees (or principals and secretaries) to log absences on the Internet or using the IVR (Interactive Voice Response)
  • Substitute employees to accept positions that require a substitute via the Internet or the IVR technology and record time-worked for payroll purposes
  • Administrators/Principals to have access to absence data and reports

When is KASS available?
KASS is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
